its been sooooo long

Yes, Its been awhile since I blogged..........What my excuse???Well not a lot, just mojo has been on holiday I think. I've been working extra hours and been very tired lately, so uninspired to create. As that dreaded C word is looming I thought I'd give myself a kick up the backside and start creating. The process has been slow but it seems I'm finally back creating in a small way.

And yes I have a card to share.....

While blog hopping, yes Ive still been checking out your blogs.......although not been commenting much, just havent had time but now back to part time again and a weeks holiday to come I'm sure I'll catch up soon. Back to the card....While blog hopping I came across a digi site, someone had used so I checked it out. Its called "Pink Petticoat" loved all the images but purchase the Rudolph and penguin collections, also a few sentiments too......love the funky images.

So here eventually is my first christmas card for 2012.......hopefully not my last

Take care and thanks for looking........see you again very soon x

5.15am

Morning.......Well its 5.30am, after a couple hours of not sleep, I decided to blog hop for a bit and realised my blog is so sadly neglected. I'm constantly crafting but not sharing this must stop, so thought I'd start with this wedding card, the image was a freebie awhile back from Chrissy at Tiddly Inks. This is a fab digi store and the challenge blog is excellent inspiration, keep your eye open sometimes they are great freebies. Check out both blogs and let me know your favourite image or share your some of your Tiddly Ink creations.

Will be back later with something else to share.......might try and get another hour or so sleep, or maybe create.......thanks for everyones awesome inspiration.

tiddly inks challenge # 83

I recently purchased the Double Dutch 6x6 pad from Lily Bee design, so when I saw the photo challenge on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog I instantly knew I had to use those papers, as there is a rainbow of gingham in each pad. The challenge was to use this photograph as your inspiration

So I had the papers and the perfect image was the new Fairy Friends, so here she is coloured with promarkers, isnt she soooo cute, find her HERE

And here is the finished card, with a piece of ribbon, some punched out butterflies and a few gems.

 Thanks for looking x

It's a boy.....

I'm blogging from my bed, been feeling a bit poorly at the moment, but do have a few cards to share.

This card uses a stamp from LOTV, been awhile since I've used these stamps, as have been right into digi images. Flowers are cut from felt using Tim Holtz "tattered flower" die. Lately been using a few brads on cards, isnt funny how things go out of fashion, but I have tons and teamed them up with funky flowers and doily to bring it up to date. Bit of an odd colour combo......now have to make a pink/orange card for a baby girl................be back tomorrow with another card, and some scrapping might make an appearance.

Night night x

Happy Birthday

For today's card I used this gorgeous image from Saturated Canary, I was asked to make a card for a 12 year old so thought this image was perfect. I added bright funky colours.....and a bit sparkle.

Its been a funny week, as ive been off work. I have got very little done as my dog, Mabel has been poorly with a water infection, which has made her incontinent for a few days......its been a nightmare. I've had to sleep on sofa with one eye open so I can let her out quickly. We have had a few accidents, hoping the antibotics will kick in by tomorrow and she get her appetite back. Going to try a night in bed tonight as I'm absolutely drained.

Tomorrow I'll be back with a card using scraps from this card.....:)

Next its my handsome friend Mark's 50th birthday..... today's cheeky card was made for him.

I have to be honest, I'm not sure where I purchased this image from......if anyone can help please as I would to leave a link here for it.

deconstructed sketch #39

I'm so glad its the weekend.
This weekend I'm promising myself so time out, as I'm shattered. Mum popped over yesterday while I was at work and did the housework, so only got the ironing to do this weekend......although I hate ironing, I'm glad Ive only got the one chore to do this weekend

Well onto my card for Jen's sketch challenge, such a lovely sketch

The card features an image from Saturated Canary. I love the card but wish I had made the broad vertical piece behind the circle a little wider as its has sort of disappeared behind the ribbon, rose, circle and sentiment. This card contains lots of hand sewing too its quite effective but took so long to do. I also distressed the edges of the papers with the edge of my scissors so thought I would enter it also in the Passion for Promarkers Challenge, which is distressing, its the first time I've entered this challenge.

thanks for all the lovely comments

Hope you all have a fab weekend

grandad card

Morning, Its a bit chilly here in the North East this week. So hopefully will get a few challenges and a bit of crafting done while weather is cold. Nothing better than keeping toastie and a constant supply of coffee, when its bitter cold outside.

Today's card is a commission, a friend of a friend requested a card for her grandad who's 80 years young, apparently loves gardening and especially his rose garden. So after a bit of a search for a digi stamp, as did have anything suitable I can across this image from Mo's digital pencil shop. I coloured it with Promarkers, the papers come from "October afternoon", added kraft, roses, seam binding, lots of stitching, mini alphas and some thicker numbers........its a bit chunky so it has to go in a box.

Hope she likes it........I'm quite pleased with it.

Found It......by Chance

WHOOP WHOOP!!! I've eventually found my camera, guess where it was?................would you believe it was buried in my scraps box, which was put away nicely under the bed, until I needed some orangish paper tonight.

So now I can upload my card for the ribbon girl challenge "pink and blue" and the sketch from CPS  . I've used a Saturated Canary image, lots of stitching, roses, pearls and seam binding. Was a bit chunky to scan so glad I found my camera, although cable did go missing briefly......well wasn't where I thought I'd left it.

thanks for looking, be back soon with some Valentines cards.......promise

I have been kind of busy lately ptting together a few Valentines cards, will share them later in week.......yikes It's Thursday already. Today's card features "rainy day" from Saturated Canary....find it here. I cant stop colouring these images and been tempted to buy more....tut tut. Thought I would enter this in the Saturated Canary Challenge, as I've used punched out butterflies from a Martha Stewart punch. Also a piece of gingham paper, a dollie from Sarahs Cards, and some seam binding from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I seem to have misplaced my camera, had place upside down looking for it, so had to scan my image.

Saturated Canary......Would be rude not too

While catching up on my blog hopping, I found a few peeps had been using these fab images from Saturated Canary these are design by Krista Smith and can be found on her Esty site HERE. Also there is a blog challenge site to go along with images. So this weekend I purchased my first image.....after I printed out image I was  bit scared of colouring it as other peeps had done a fab job. I'm quite pleased with my 1st result although I think the hair needs a bit practice. I also checked out the challenge blog......and found a design team call, so thought why not so entering this card.

Ive used an image from Saturated Canary, papers from "echo park and crate", pink gems, seam binding and bit stickles to add sparkle. Image coloured with Promarkers.

Sunday, 8 January 2012

I'm struggling a bit at the moment to get back into the creating mood............so the sketch from CPS popped up on Facebook and I thought I would give it a go.

I used more papers from Crate, trying to use up old papers.......I've got a stack of these, also used a digital image from the digi stamp boutique "isabella" she was a bargain at 99p, I printed her twice, once on patterned paper and pieced together her dress, flower and butterfly, coloured the rest with promarkers. Added stitching, some seam binding and a few pink gem stones. The sentiment stamp is from "lili of the valley"
