New Scrummy Kits

My new design team kits have arrived from Maria at the Scrummy Stash Cafe and they are so scrummy. Theres two new kits with My Minds Eye papers, Bliss and Out and About. I havent used these papers before and was so impressed with their quality.

I been playing with both kits and heres my first layout with Out and About. These photos were taken on a day trip to Forbidden Corner, in the summer, kids had a great day out.

Hopefully will have some more layouts to show over the weekend

Long Time No See

I havent blogged for awhile. Been busy working and catching up on circle journal commitments, but all up to date now, so can play. Received Studio Calico kit a couple of weeks ago and just managed to have a look at this week, its a lovely kit was really impressed with it. Heres the layout I completed based on pencilline sketch #60........this is a photo my brother took of his self at a recent wedding. They had cameras on all the tables so he went around and took his photo on every camera. This was funny cos the bride and groom didnt realise til the photos had been developed, they'll never forget he was there.

Masterchef Final Entry

This class was completed with a kit supplied by Caroline for a mini cyber crop on Sprinkle's Blog

Heres the class

Instructions for “Mum…………….I love you” Layout

Used kit supplied by Caroline

Ingredients

12 x12 black cardstock
12 x 12 orange cardstock
12x 6 green cardstock
12 x 6 patterned paper – small spots, large spots and pink with flowers
2 ribbons – pink and spotty
3 orange buttons

Additional items used

7x5 photograph
Foam and rubber alpha stamps
Black ink
White embroidery and needle
Stapler
Basic tools

1. Firstly attach 12x6 patterned paper (small spotty) to centre of the 12x12 black cardstock running horizontally. Draw a wavy line in pencil around the edge of layout to form a border, pierce along the line and stitch in back stitch with 3 strands of embroidery thread.
2. Then attach two strips of green cardstock cut on an angle to the top and bottom of the small dot patterned paper, also attach photograph at a slight angle to patterned paper. Draw an outline to edge of green strips and add spotty ribbon to top strip.
3. Take large spot patterned paper and cut approx…………… strip with wavy edge. Attach this to bottom of pattern paper overlapping green card stock.
4. Create an arrow from orange cardstock – I drew around a tea plate and dinner plate to create a ring and cut out, then cut ring short at on end and attached a triangle cut from orange card - Draw faux stitch around arrow and add to layout.
5. Use 3 of the tags from tag sheet and attach plain pink ribbon with staples, arrange these on left hand side of layout slightly overlapping photo. Cut three flowers from patterned paper and attach to layout with buttons.
6. Finally using large foam stamps to stamp, in black ink on orange card, the title “MUM” in individually squares, draw around edge and add to layout. Then stamp the “I love you” on to arrow and attach gems to the edge of the large spot paper.

I'd love you to complete this clas and leave a link so I can check it out, thanks

Eventually I have completed the LO, I started at the Morpeth crop on Saturday, its waited on my desk longing for a title at long last inspiration struck. It was completed with the guidance of Maria and using a kit supplied by "Scrummy Stash Cafe" I love these Cherry Arte "princess papers" using my Cricut "All Mixed up" for Title and lots of hand stitching. The photo was taken in Ibiza when we had a girlie weekend in June, we all left the kids and men at home. We spent the weekend lazying on the beach, drinking cocktails and partying. Lots of FUN was had by all

HOORAY!!! just found out I've got through to the next round of the Masterchef challenge, I'm so pleased as I struggled with this entry. Hopefully the next round will be better, I need to make a minibook, the good thing I can use any stash I like.

Vanessa has joined the "Scrummy Stash Cafe" design team, Welcome on board. You can have a look at her work here on her blog.

Hoping to get some design team stuff done this week..........as there are new kits on the horizon.

Just uploaded round 4 entry for Masterchef Challenge, this was a complete nightmare. Firstly the requirements for this was "only use plain cardstock and basic tool kit", so I struggled with this one was longing to use glitter, chipboard and gems. Well eventually got this finished to find printer/scanner not working, so decided to photograph entry instead, but couldnt find usb cable for camera. Therefore had to spend a hour hunting down old camera, to put memory card in and upload from there. What nightmare!

Heres a photo recently taken at Forbidden Corner, in Yorkshire. It was a lovely sunny day and the kids loved running around and exploring. I recommend it as a great day out.
